We All Scream for Ice Cream

Want to learn how to make real ice cream the old fashioned way, using recipes and techniques as old as Thomas Jefferson?  'We All Scream for Ice Cream' will be just your introduction!  From traditional Vanilla French Custard to Seasonal Fruit Sorbet to Salty Caramel Sweet Cream, learn how to create every kind of flavor and style of ice cream from Lynsie Watkins, Chef and Owner of Perfect Flavor Ice Cream.  At Perfect Flavor, Lynsie uses only the finest ingredients: local milk, fresh fruit, and herbs.  With the finest ingredients comes the finest product, but to help broaden your ability to produce incredible ice creams with the 'local' connection, Lynsie will provide examples of farm fresh ingredients, but teach using store bought ingredients.  This will guarantee that what you learn in this class can be transferred into your own repertoire of work.  Not only will you learn to make three different kinds of ice creams and sorbets, Lynsie will also tech you the art of making the perfect caramel sauce, how to make your own vanilla extract, and how water content has everything to do with what fruit to use for a sorbet.  Come with an empty stomach, because tast testing is not only encouraged, it is imperative to learning the difference between good ice cream that you might find in the store, and great ice cream that you can easily make yourself!

Whats New
Responsibility at Pearl Harbor

What is the nature of the disaster at Pearl Harbor?  What did the officers in charge, Admiral Kimmel and General Short, know in the days leading up to it and, if so, when did they know it?  What could they have done with the men and materiel in their commands to defend against the attack?  Learn about the 'conspiracy' claims, whether FDR knew the attack was coming, and whether we broke the Japanese codes & knew about the attacks.  If you are a history enthusiast, join this class.  There will also be many good photographs via PowerPoint Presentation.
