All first time hunters (no previous license) and young people (age 12 through 16) are required by state law to pass a certified Hunter Safety Course (ten hours of instruction). The course covers wilderness survival as well as bow hunting, muzzle loading firearms, and modern shotguns and rifles.  Those completing the course will receive a certificate, I.D. card and a patch.  Open to ages 10 and up. Students in elementary & middle school must attend with parent.  **You must attend all three nights of the course to receive credit.  Check location for each course held.
