Beg. Sewing (Sewers, Start Your Machines)

This 7-week class, taught by members of the American Sewing Guild, will focus on learning basic sewing techniques. This will include what tools a starting sewer needs, learning to use your sewing machine, fabric selection, pattern selection, transferring pattern markings, facings, casings, zipper insertion and buttonholes. Simple projects such as pajama pants and a pillow case will be constructed in class. After the first class, students will need to bring a sewing machine and supply list items to each class.  Test your machine by sewing with it before the 2nd class (it must be in good working order) and bring the manual that came with your machine if you have one. The supply list will be emailed to students prior to class or handed out at the 1st class (for those without email). Limited to 8 students. No sewing experience required. Bring note pad & pen. **No class April 8
